Obverse description Central field bearing Devanagari script characters arranged in a cruciform pattern around a central floral or trident device, characteristic of the small dam denomination of the Nepalese Mohar coinage series. The legends in Devanagari script identify the regnal authority of King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram. The design is contained within a plain raised rim, with the broadly spaced characters occupying the majority of the flat field. The strike is typical of the small-denomination silver issues of early twentieth-century Nepal, with somewhat uneven surface texture.
