Obverse description Rhomboid klippe flan with three counterstamps applied along the long vertical axis. At center, the arms of Haarlem comprising a sword, cross, and stars. At the upper point, a crescent and star counterstamp; at the lower point, the date counterstamp reading 157Z (for 1572). The field is otherwise plain, consistent with the emergency nature of this siege coinage.
