Reverse description Completely plain and uninscribed reverse, typical of emergency klippe siege coinage produced under the exigencies of the 1572 Siege of Haarlem. The flat, unworked field retains file marks and surface irregularities consistent with a hastily prepared silver flan. Old collector notations in ink are visible near the upper and lower points of the rhomboid.
