The die workmanship is typical of the L'Aquila mint output of the second half of the fifteenth century, with irregular flan edges and uneven strike pressure evident. |

The denomination name Cavallo (horse) is directly reflected in this equine type, which served as the emblematic device of this series throughout Ferdinando I's reign. |
