| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast brass cash coin centred on a square central perforation, with four large Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged symmetrically around the hole in the traditional reading order: 康 (Kāng) above, 熙 (Xī) to the right, 通 (Tōng) below, and 寶 (Bǎo) to the left, together reading 康熙通寶 (Kāngxī Tōngbǎo). The characters are bold and in relief against a flat, undecorated field, enclosed by an outer raised rim and an inner square rim surrounding the perforation. The style is consistent with standard Qing dynasty imperial cash coinage, cast rather than struck, with no additional decorative elements. |
