| Description de l’avers | Within the pentagonal field, a crescent occupies the upper portion of the design, its horns pointing upward, enclosing Arabic inscriptions identifying the ruler Ahmad bin Yahya and his titles. The accession date appears within or immediately below the crescent in Arabic numerals. Additional Arabic legends fill the lower field, rendered in the characteristic bold script of Yemeni Zaydi coinage. The entire design is contained within the flat pentagonal flan with no border decoration. |

| Description du revers | The reverse features a central circular cartouche containing the Shahada inscription and the AH date in Arabic numerals, surrounded by six-pointed star ornaments evenly distributed around the inner circle. The marginal legend, rendered in bold Arabic script, reads around all five sides of the pentagonal flan and records the mint name Sanaa, the denomination (eighth), and the Islamic profession of faith. The overall design is typical of Yemeni Imamate coinage, with a confident, hand-engraved quality to the lettering. |
