Reverse description A bare-headed, unadorned bust of Simón Bolívar faces left in sharp left profile, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair swept back from the forehead in the neoclassical style engraved by Désiré-Albert Barre. The legend BOLIVAR flanks the left of the bust and LIBERTADOR arcs along the right inner periphery, together identifying the subject as the Liberator. The engraver's signature BARRE appears in small capitals in the lower exergue beneath the truncation. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
