| Opis awersu | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a three-line Persian poetic legend in bold Nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The inscription invokes the sun, moon, gold, and silver as emblems of the coinage issued in the name of the rightful Imam and Lord of the Age (Sahib al-Zaman). The script is rendered in a fluid, calligraphic style characteristic of Zand-period gold coinage, with letters flowing dynamically across the slightly irregular hammered surface. A plain border frames the inscription, consistent with Type C Ashrafi issues. |
