The inscription invokes the sun, moon, gold, and silver as emblems of the coinage issued in the name of the rightful Imam and Lord of the Age (Sahib al-Zaman). The script is rendered in a fluid, calligraphic style characteristic of Zand-period gold coinage, with letters flowing dynamically across the slightly irregular hammered surface. A plain border frames the inscription, consistent with Type C Ashrafi issues. |
