The legends are arranged in stacked horizontal registers, with characters exhibiting the cursive, slightly compressed style characteristic of small-denomination Mamluk hammered coinage. The strike is slightly weak at the margins, leaving portions of the legend partially visible, consistent with the known production of fractional silver at the al-Qahira (Cairo) mint during this period. The flat, unadorned field carries no decorative border or inner circle, as is typical for this denomination. |
