Reverse description The reverse presents multiple lines of Arabic script in naskh style, densely filling the irregularly round flan with the mint and date formula customary on Mamluk dirhams. The legends are arranged in stacked horizontal registers, with characters exhibiting the cursive, slightly compressed style characteristic of small-denomination Mamluk hammered coinage. The strike is slightly weak at the margins, leaving portions of the legend partially visible, consistent with the known production of fractional silver at the al-Qahira (Cairo) mint during this period. The flat, unadorned field carries no decorative border or inner circle, as is typical for this denomination.
