| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Devanagari inscription denoting the denomination (Paav Aana, i.e. quarter anna) and the Samvat date 1945, enclosed within a dotted inner circle. A continuous circular Devanagari legend naming the issuing state of Gwalior and the ruler Madho Rao runs along the periphery, separated from the central inscription by the beaded border. The overall design is purely epigraphic, with no figurative or symbolic devices, characteristic of the coinage of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a layout virtually identical to the obverse, bearing a central multi-line Devanagari inscription recording the denomination and Samvat regnal year 1945, surrounded by a dotted inner circle. The outer circular legend in Devanagari continues the state and ruler attribution around the full periphery of the coin, bounded by a beaded rim. The purely typographic composition, devoid of any pictorial element, reflects the conventional epigraphic style adopted for the subsidiary copper coinage of Gwalior under Madho Rao Scindia. |
