| 裏面の説明 | Cream ground with radiating sunburst lines emanating from a central vignette of the historic Marien-Leuchte (Virgin Mary lamp), rendered in colour, showing a crowned Madonna and Child figure within an ornate oval reliquary frame. Explanatory text in blackletter script surrounds the vignette on both sides, recounting the legend of the lamp sweating blood in 1420 during the Danish King Erich's devastation of the island. The place name "Landkirchen auf Fehmarn" and the denomination "50 Pfennig" appear in red Gothic type at lower left and lower right respectively, with the printer's imprint "J. C. König & Ebhardt in Hannover" at the very foot of the note. |
