| Description de l’avers | Central device consisting of a crowned Gothic capital L flanked by three fleurs-de-lis arranged two and one, symbolizing the royal monogram of Louis XV. The crown surmounts the L directly, with one fleur-de-lis positioned to each side and one below, all set within a beaded inner border. The surrounding circular legend reads LUD•XV•D•G•FR•ET•NAV•REX•, identifying the king as Louis XV, by the grace of God, King of France and Navarre. The design is rendered in a restrained, formal Baroque style consistent with mid-18th-century French royal coinage. |

| Description du revers | Central device featuring two interlaced cursive Ls forming a royal cipher, set beneath a laurel or olive wreath tied at the base. The exergue contains the mint mark identifying the issuing workshop, which varies by striking location. The circular legend reads SIT•NOM•DOM BENEDICT•, followed by the year of striking, invoking the blessing of the Lord's name — a traditional pious motto employed on French royal billon coinage of the period. The overall composition is symmetrical and typical of the royal sol type struck across numerous French provincial mints during the reign of Louis XV. |
