| Obverse description | Central device consisting of a crowned Gothic capital L flanked by three fleurs-de-lis arranged two and one, symbolizing the royal monogram of Louis XV. The crown surmounts the L directly, with one fleur-de-lis positioned to each side and one below, all set within a beaded inner border. The surrounding circular legend reads LUD•XV•D•G•FR•ET•NAV•REX•, identifying the king as Louis XV, by the grace of God, King of France and Navarre.
