The denomination "EINE MILLION MARK" arches across the upper portion in bold Gothic (Fraktur) blackletter script, while the numeral "1,000,000" is set in large figures along the lower portion. To the left, a two-line Gothic text block identifies the issuing authority as the Hohenzollerisches Notgeld der Amtsverbände Hechingen-Haigerloch, with the date "August 1923" and the title "Oberamtmann" with a manuscript signature appearing to the right. Two heraldic roundels flank the upper corners — the left bearing crossed hammers (mining symbol) and the right a stylised wheel or mill motif — all set against a background of engraved tree foliage. A central blank disc is encircled by the legend "HOHENZOLLERISCHES NOTGELD DER AMTSVERBÄNDE HECHINGEN HAIGERLOCH".
