Obverse description Olive-green guilloche underprint covers the entire field, centred by a large blank white disc intended for overprint or control purposes. The denomination "EINE MILLION MARK" arches across the upper portion in bold Gothic (Fraktur) blackletter script, while the numeral "1,000,000" is set in large figures along the lower portion. To the left, a two-line Gothic text block identifies the issuing authority as the Hohenzollerisches Notgeld der Amtsverbände Hechingen-Haigerloch, with the date "August 1923" and the title "Oberamtmann" with a manuscript signature appearing to the right. A red serial number prefixed "Nr." is printed at lower left.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown and blue-green tones and carries a panoramic vignette divided into two townscape views: at left, the medieval silhouette of Hechingen with its collegiate church, and at right, the hilltop town of Haigerloch surmounted by its castle tower. Two heraldic roundels flank the upper corners — the left bearing crossed hammers (mining symbol) and the right a stylised wheel or mill motif — all set against a background of engraved tree foliage. A central blank disc is encircled by the legend "HOHENZOLLERISCHES NOTGELD DER AMTSVERBÄNDE HECHINGEN HAIGERLOCH". The denomination "EINE MILLION MARK" appears in spaced Roman capitals across the top border, with "1.000.000" repeated at lower left and right, and a counterfeiting-warning text runs along the bottom margin.
