Eurosouvenirs' zero-euro souvenir program, distributed through tourist outlets across France, uses genuine Oberthur Fiduciaire production — the same security printer responsible for official French banknote production for decades. The notes carry real security features: UV-reactive ink, microprinting, and an embedded security thread. Oberthur prints these commercially under license from the European Central Bank, which formally tolerates the series provided the denomination renders them non-legal-tender by definition.
La Porte d'Aix, the triumphal arch at the northern entrance to Marseille's old city, was commissioned in 1823 to commemorate the Spanish campaign of Louis XVIII — construction dragged on until 1839.
