The souvenir 0 Euro program, launched in 2015 and distributed through European tourist sites, was never legal tender — the "issued by EuroSouvenir" designation is a commercial fiction built around genuine Oberthur Fiduciaire security printing. Oberthur produced the actual euro banknotes for the Banque de France, so the production credentials here are real even if the monetary status is not.
Rouffignac is the cave in the Dordogne containing some 250 mammoth engravings, among the highest concentrations of Pleistocene megafauna imagery known. The site was long dismissed as a probable forgery after its 1956 public debut — that debate ran for nearly two decades before the prehistoric authenticity was broadly accepted.
