EuroSouvenir notes have been produced under license from the European Central Bank since 2015, with Oberthur Fiduciaire — one of the continent's principal security printers — handling a large portion of the output. The Cité du train in Mulhouse holds the largest railway collection in Europe, and the TGV Atlantique, introduced in 1989, was among the first trains designed specifically for speeds exceeding 300 km/h in revenue service.
These zero-denomination pieces carry no legal tender status anywhere, a condition of the ECB licensing agreement.
