| Reverse description | Plain shield bearing the combined arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, consisting of horizontal barry stripes in the upper portion and a lion passant or similar charge in the lower portion, all enclosed within an oval cartouche surmounted by an archiepiscopal hat. The design is struck in lower relief than the obverse and exhibits the characteristic flatness of a secondary hammer blow on a klippe flan. No legend or lettering appears on this face. The overall presentation is typical of small-denomination Salzburg Pfennig coinage of the early seventeenth century. |
