Obverse description Central field dominated by a narrow-necked jug with a single handle at left, rendered in bold relief on a previously struck host coin. A willow branch appears to the right of the jug, its leaves extending toward the upper field. The Hebrew inscription naming Eleazar the priest is distributed around the central device. The flan is irregular, characteristic of hastily overstruck Bar Kokhba coinage, with traces of the undertype visible in the periphery.
