Reverse description An elaborate floriated cross, its four arms richly decorated with foliate and scrollwork ornament terminating in fleurs-de-lis, with a prominent rosette at the centre of the cross. The four quarters between the arms are filled with luxuriant Gothic foliage and curling vine motifs, creating a dense, symmetrical decorative field. The entire design is contained within a plain inner circle and a beaded outer border, with the circumferential legend in uncial characters occupying the exergual band.
