| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by the arms of Solothurn — a crowned shield bearing the characteristic black-and-white divided escutcheon of the canton — surmounted by a small displayed eagle at the top. The shield is rendered in a robust, somewhat naive hammered style typical of early 17th-century Swiss cantonal coinage. A circular beaded border frames the design, with the legend distributed around the periphery in Latin capital letters.
