Obverse description A large six-pointed Star of David occupies the central field, formed by two interlocking equilateral triangles. At the centre of the star, within a small circular frame, the date 1927 is incused. The surrounding legend, arranged in two arched bands separated by small ornamental stops, reads ROYAL MINT above and TRIAL DIE below, entirely in raised Latin lettering. The design is plain and geometric, consistent with a die trial piece intended to test the planchet or press rather than display a finalised coin type.
