Reverse description A tamgha (dynastic symbol) of the Kangju rulers facing right, distinguished by a pellet at its centre, occupying the central field of the coin. The tamgha is encircled by a Sogdian legend arranged around the periphery, reading in the Sogdian script. The overall design is characteristic of early medieval Chach (Tashkent region) coinage, combining a symbolic dynastic mark with a dedicatory inscription identifying the issuing ruler.
