| Obverse description | Diademed bust of a long-haired ruler facing left, rendered in the Central Asian artistic tradition characteristic of Kangju coinage. The effigy is depicted in profile with flowing hair falling behind the neck, and a diadem encircling the head. The portrait style is somewhat crude, reflecting the provincial die-cutting tradition of the region. The field is plain, with no surrounding legend on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of the dynastic tamgha of Kangju rendered in retrograde orientation, with two dots flanking the centre of the symbol. The tamgha serves as the principal emblem of dynastic authority. The central device is encircled by a partially legible Sogdian inscription in the surrounding field, the legend being largely uncertain due to the crude die work and irregular flan. The overall reverse composition is typical of the anonymous bronze issues of the Kangju third period. |
