Obverse description Lion walking right in profile, depicted in a schematic but vigorous style characteristic of early Indian civic coinage, with tail curled upward and one forepaw raised. The feline body is rendered with pronounced musculature and an open mane, occupying the central field of the flan. The surface shows the characteristic uneven texture of a hand-struck copper flan with an irregular edge. No inscriptions appear on the obverse.

Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Brahmi legend in relief, reading 'Jethamitasa' (genitive form of Jyeshtamitra, meaning 'of Jyeshtamitra'), arranged across the central field in bold, well-formed aksharas. In the lower portion of the field, a swastika symbol and a taurine device are present as auxiliary symbols, consistent with the civic coinage conventions of the Kausambi series. The flan is irregular and the die is somewhat off-centre, as typical for hammered issues of this period.
