| Beschrijving keerzijde | Armored horseman galloping to the right, brandishing a spear or javelin in his raised right hand, the horse depicted in dynamic full stride. A horizontal exergual line separates the equestrian device from the mint legend below. The legend SEGOVIA is inscribed in the exergue in clear Latin characters, identifying the issuing city of Segovia, a prominent Celtiberian and later Roman municipium in Hispania Tarraconensis. |

Segovia's bronze issues from this period belong to the Celtiberian monetary tradition that flourished across the Iberian plateau during Roman Republican penetration of the peninsula. The city's coinage is associated with the indigenous script found on Celtiberian bronzes — an adapted Iberian semi-syllabic writing system the Romans never bothered to suppress, since local issues served Roman administrative needs as fractional and regional exchange currency.
ACIP 1867 is among the earlier attributed types for this mint, though the century-long date range reflects genuine uncertainty about sequencing within the series.
