| 正面描述 | Male head facing right, rendered in the Ibero-Celtic artistic tradition, with elaborately rendered curly hair depicted in thick, plastically modelled locks. A small circular symbol (annulet or pellet) is visible in the left field before the bust. The portrait displays the characteristically robust, somewhat stylized facial features typical of Celtiberian coinage of the late 2nd century BC, with a prominent nose and strong jaw. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a slightly raised border. |

Uxama Argaela, situated on a commanding meseta above the Duero valley in what is now Burgo de Osma, was a Celtiberian oppidum that the Romans found strategically impossible to ignore. The city issued bronze coinage during a period bracketed by sustained Roman military pressure in Hispania, including the prolonged and brutal campaigns that culminated in the fall of Numantia in 133 BC — a city less than 60 kilometers away. Whether Uxama's mint operated with Roman tolerance or in spite of it remains an open question among Iberian numismatists.
The ACIP 1929 attribution places this within a well-documented Celtiberian series using Iberian script, though die-linkage studies within the CNH corpus suggest the emission run was modest and concentrated.
