| Mô tả mặt trước | Bare, bearded male head facing right, rendered in the Ibero-Punic artistic tradition with broad facial features and thick curling hair falling behind the neck. The portrait, likely representing a local deity or heroic figure, occupies the central field and is executed in relatively high relief despite the coarse fabric of the flan. No legend or inscription accompanies the effigy. The coin surface shows characteristic green patination and flan irregularities consistent with hand-struck Iberian bronze coinage of the Second Punic War period. |

| Mô tả mặt sau | Equestrian figure advancing at a gallop to the right, with the rider holding a palm branch in the raised hand, a type emblematic of Iberian coinage associated with the mint of Tarraco. The horse is rendered with schematic musculature typical of late third-century Hispano-Iberian bronzes. Below the horse, a partial Iberian legend in the Levantine semi-syllabic script is present, though largely obscured by corrosion and flan weakness. The composition follows the canonical Cessetani horseman type catalogued under ACIP 1108. |

| Thông tin bổ sung |
The Cessetani were an Iberian people occupying the coastal territory around what is now Tarragona, and their bronze coinage emerged directly from the disruption of the Second Punic War. When Scipio Africanus landed at Emporion in 218 BC, the Roman military presence fundamentally reorganized indigenous economies along the northeastern Iberian coast. Cessetanian issues like this one likely served Roman logistical networks as much as local exchange — the timing is too precise to be coincidental.
ACIP 1108 is among the heavier cast in this series, placing it at the upper end of the unit denomination's weight range.
