To the left of the eagle, the South Arabian inscription 𐩧𐩤𐩦 (transliterated 'sqr') appears in the field, while to the right the inscription 𐩠𐩦𐩺 (transliterated 'ysh') is placed. The design is boldly conceived, with the raptor's plumage rendered in a schematic but vigorous style characteristic of cast Hadhramautic bronzes.
