The portrait is boldly modelled in the neoclassical style characteristic of the Kraków mint under Poniatowski's reign. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading STANISLAUS AUG D G REX POL M D L, abbreviated for 'Stanislaus Augustus, by the Grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania'. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible at the rim. |

I., commemorating the founding of the Order of Saint Stanislaus on 8 May and its perpetual festive observance, struck at the Kraków mint (C I being the mintmaster's initials). The date 1767 appears prominently in the lower portion of the inscription, with the mint initials C. I. below. The milled edge frames the design. |
