| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Stanisław August Poniatowski with elaborately curled long hair falling to the shoulder, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The portrait is boldly modelled in the neoclassical style characteristic of the Kraków mint under Poniatowski's reign. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading STANISLAUS AUG D G REX POL M D L, abbreviated for 'Stanislaus Augustus, by the Grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania'. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible at the rim. |
