Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruff collar and royal crown adorned with fleur-de-lis and cross motifs. The effigy displays the king's characteristic bearded profile with naturalistic facial detail. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, abbreviated as SIG III D G REX POL M D LIT, identifying the king as Sigismund III, by the grace of God King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.
