| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing head of Dionysus with a prominent pointed beard rendered in granular, bobbed locks, the hair similarly depicted in tight rounded curls framing the face. The visage is rendered in archaic style with almond-shaped eyes and full features characteristic of late Archaic Greek coinage. The Greek legend ΣEP appears in the right field, partially flanking the deity's head. |

The Serdaioi remain one of the least-documented issuing authorities in ancient Bruttium — their civic identity, precise location, and political relationship to neighboring Greek colonies are still debated. This triobol represents one of the very few denominations attributable to them, and the surviving population across all major collections is small enough that each new example meaningfully informs scholarship on the type.
