The composition is vigorous and deeply rooted in Hellenistic artistic tradition, with the horses rendered in energetic motion filling the field. The ethnic legend ΚΟΡΑΚΗϹΙωΤωΝ appears in the exergue or around the scene, identifying the issuing civic authority of Coracesium in Cilicia. |
