| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed, and paludamentum-draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the conventional provincial portrait style, with the laurel wreath tightly bound about the head and the paludamentum visible at the left shoulder. The bust is set directly in the field without an exergue line, characteristic of Cilician civic coinage of the Antonine period. |

| Reverse description | Dynamic mythological scene depicting the Rape of Persephone: Hades drives a fast quadriga at full gallop to the right, his head turned back to the left, while wielding a scepter in his left hand. He forcibly carries away Persephone, who raises both arms in anguished protest against her abduction. The composition is vigorous and deeply rooted in Hellenistic artistic tradition, with the horses rendered in energetic motion filling the field. The ethnic legend ΚΟΡΑΚΗϹΙωΤωΝ appears in the exergue or around the scene, identifying the issuing civic authority of Coracesium in Cilicia. |
