Obverse description Central device depicting a highly stylized royal bust or architectural motif in the form of a domed structure with vertical columns beneath, rendered in a schematic late Visigothic style characteristic of the early eighth century. The central element is surmounted by a pellet and flanked by decorative appendages, all enclosed within a beaded inner border. The surrounding field carries the royal legend in debased Latin characters. The outer rim is composed of a distinctive serrated or toothed border, a hallmark of late Visigothic tremissis coinage. The overall execution reflects the progressive abstraction of figural types typical of the final phase of Visigothic minting.
