| Reverse description | A highly stylized cross on steps or on a construct, depicted in schematic Visigothic fashion with the cross rising from a triangular stepped base, flanked by multiple star-shaped and pellet ornaments distributed throughout the field. Additional decorative symbols, including crescents and annulets, appear to either side of the stepped cross motif. The mint legend CESAR ACVSTAOIO, referring to the mint of Caesaraugusta (modern Zaragoza), is distributed around the field in the characteristic debased Latin lettering of late Visigothic coinage. The flan is bounded by a beaded inner circle and a serrated outer border, with a central pierced hole visible. |
