| Mô tả mặt sau | Facing bust in the Visigothic manner, schematically rendered with linear drapery indicated by vertical lines on the torso and a beaded or rayed nimbus or crown surrounding the head, surmounted by a cross pattée. The design follows the standard Visigothic tremissis reverse type derived from late Roman prototypes, executed in a highly stylised, almost geometric fashion. A beaded border encircles the design. The surrounding Latin legend reads + EMERETA PIVS, referring to the mint city of Emerita (modern Mérida) and the epithet PIVS. |
