| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Basiliscus facing right, wearing a pearl diadem with pendilia visible behind the ear. The emperor is depicted in military attire with elaborate paludamentum, rendered in the refined late antique style characteristic of Constantinopolitan gold coinage. A fibula fastens the cloak at the right shoulder. The surrounding Latin legend reads D N BASILISCVS PP AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. |
