Obverse description Central field occupied by the interlaced Cyrillic monograms of Tsar Ivan Sracimir, rendered in bold relief across the flan. The monograms are composed of interwoven letters forming a decorative ligature characteristic of late medieval Bulgarian coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-struck hammered copper issues of the Vidin mint. No border or legend surrounds the monogram device.
