| Obverse description | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold, two-line Arabic legend in fluid nastaliq calligraphy, reading the name and titles of the emir: 'Nasr Allah bin Haydar Tora.' The inscription is divided horizontally by a raised linear bar, with the upper and lower registers each containing one line of the royal titulature. The Hijri mint date appears within or adjacent to the legend, varying by year of issue. The die is hand-engraved with characteristic Central Asian style, exhibiting slightly irregular letter forms consistent with hammered coinage of the Bukharan emirate. The plain field surrounding the inscription shows the uneven flan surface typical of this series. |
