The square klippe format gives the coin its distinctive diamond shape with plain clipped corners. |

The circular legend S RVDBERTTVS EPS SALISB surrounds the saint, with the date appearing in the upper field. The composition is contained within a beaded inner circle, consistent with the hammered klippe coinage of the Salzburg mint. |
