Reverse description Crowned quartered shield of arms occupying the central field, bearing the royal arms of Great Britain quartered with the arms of Hanover, surmounted by an electoral bonnet. The denomination numeral 1/3 appears below the shield in the exergue. The date is divided by the crown above the shield. The surrounding Latin legend, separated by ornamental stops, identifies George III's titles as Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Arch-Treasurer and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, and declares the fine silver content.
