| Descrizione del dritto | Draped and veiled bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, wearing a pearl brooch at the shoulder and an elaborate coiffure beneath a veil. The circumferential legend reads M·THERESIA·D·G· R·IMP·HU·BO·REG· S·F·, with the mintmark S·F· appearing in the lower exergue. Superimposed on the bust is a small rectangular Arabic-script counterstamp reading عبد لطيف صانع الفضَّة بجيبوتي, identifying the Djibouti-based silversmith Abd al-Latif who authenticated and re-issued the coin for local trade in the Obock region during the period 1892–1914. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the restrike neoclassical style characteristic of all post-1780 Maria Theresa Thaler restrikes. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, bearing on its breast a central shield quartered with the arms of Austria and Burgundy beneath an Imperial crown. The eagle's two heads are each crowned, and the overall composition is rendered in strong, deeply struck relief typical of the Maria Theresa Thaler restrike series. The circumferential legend, reading from lower left to upper right, states ARCHID·AUST·DUX· BURG·CO·TYR·1780·X, with the perpetual frozen date 1780 and the Roman numeral X denoting the denomination appearing within the legend. The field surrounding the eagle is plain and unadorned, focusing attention on the elaborate heraldic device. |
