Below the shield, an oval cartouche bears the fineness designation and the fractional value '1/6', dividing the inscription 'FEIN' and 'SILB:'. The surrounding circular legend names the joint rulers Christoph Ludwig II and Friedrich Botho, Counts of Stolberg, rendered in abbreviated Latin. The overall composition is characteristic of early eighteenth-century German territorial coinage, with a well-executed heraldic centrepiece. |
