Obverse description The crowned eleven-fold arms of Stolberg dominate the centre of the obverse, flanked by the divided date and the mintmaster's initials in the field. Below the shield, an oval cartouche bears the fineness designation and the fractional value '1/6', dividing the inscription 'FEIN' and 'SILB:'. The surrounding circular legend names the joint rulers Christoph Ludwig II and Friedrich Botho, Counts of Stolberg, rendered in abbreviated Latin. The overall composition is characteristic of early eighteenth-century German territorial coinage, with a well-executed heraldic centrepiece.
