| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Administrator August of Sachsen-Weissenfels facing right, wearing elaborately decorated armor with ornamental shoulder guards and a lace cravat. The hair is rendered in long curling locks falling to the shoulder in the baroque fashion. The portrait is contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads AUGUSTUS D G P A A M D S I C R M, identifying him as Duke of Saxony and Administrator of Magdeburg. |
