| 背面描述 | Two pendant grape bunches hanging from a central vine branch, rendered in high relief with detailed berry clusters and flanking vine leaves. The civic ethnic ΕΡΕΤΡΙΕΩΝ arcs across the upper field, identifying the issuing city of Eretria. The magistrate's name ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΣ is inscribed in the lower field, identifying the responsible official. The composition is symmetrical and boldly struck, typical of Euboian civic coinage of the second century BC. The flan shows minor edge irregularities consistent with hand-hammered production. |

Eretria's silver coinage of the second century BC was struck under increasingly constrained autonomy — the city had never fully recovered from its sack by Macedonian forces in 198 BC during Rome's war against Philip V, and much of its civic infrastructure was rebuilt under Roman shadow. Issues from this period are sparse in the numismatic record, and the Copenhagen specimen (no. 499) remains one of the few anchoring references for this specific type.
